As every year, the Swiss Shipper’s Council organizes the Swiss Shippers' Forum at the end of January. This year for the first time online.
Under the title "The new normal - what does the future hold?" they have put together an interesting forum for Swiss foreign trade. The participants will be able to take important information for their daily work from the 4 different topic blocks.

The yearly forum of the Swiss Shippers' Council, our related association. The main topic of this year "Force Majeure" is about the risks of international trade. This subject will be explained by renowned experts and discussed in a panel.

IG AirCargo 10th Anniversary at the Museum of Transport (Verkehrshaus) Lucerne, General Assembly, Musemu Visit, Forum-Conference, Networking & Dinner Cruise
This year’s Air Cargo Day is a firework of highlights combining the Jubilee of our Association, the presentation of the 2nd Air Cargo Logistics Study, the Air Cargo Forum and the introduction into the Logistics Exhibition at the Museum of Transport in Luzern.
About 120 members and guests attended this year event at Lucerne's Verkehrshaus.

Euroairport BSL/MLH is responsible for the Basel region logistics cluster initiative. Next November the 9th edition of the Cluster Forum will take place, to which we would like to invite all IG Air Cargo members. This year's motto is: "Aviation and airfreight". Don't miss this interesting event, there will certainly be good inputs.

Some 25 members of IG Air Cargo attended this event on October 30 taking place in the restaurant of the halle fret. David Sauv (Manager digital cargo, IATA) presented an interesting insight into the development of IATAs new approach in the future digital world. Instead of sending messages from one stakeholder to another, they are preparing a central data center acting as exchange platform for all data and information. Thereafter, Peter Somaglia and Fernando Inacio presented the activities and projects of the interest group Air Cargo Switzerland on national and international level (PDF below) followed by a tasty BBQ with intensive discussion in a relaxed atmosphere.

The 2019 General Assembly of the Interest Group Air Cargo Switzerland, took place as usual in Bern. The venue was hosted by DEZA (Direktion für Entwicklung und Zusammenarbeit), the Swiss Federal Agency for Development and Cooperation.

The GVA section of the Interest Group Air Cargo Switzerland organizes for the first time an Easter Event for its members, featuring Easter eggs and other season's goodies.
Thirty guests attended the event, including all the new members. It was a great opportunity for exchange between the committee and members and a very good atmosphere prevailed.

This year The traditional Winter event, for the first time, it took place in the tent located at the Sport Center Schluefweg in Kloten near the Airport.
After a lively Apéro with good opportunities to exchange information and to get to know new colleagues, Thomas Müller presented the plans and ideas of Zurich-Airport for the next 10 to 20 years. Surprising for most participants was the incredibly long time between start of planning and actual realization of such projects.
